As many of you know, my roles as a nutritionist, a chef and a mum form the foundations of how I cook, and how I develop recipes for our sauces start-up.

In this post, I put on my nutritionist hat, and give you 5 reasons why our new plantbased and organic mayonaisse, VAYO, is better for you than a standard mayo:

1.VAYO is made with a healthy high-oleic oil:

Our special sunflower oil contains >70% oleic fatty acids (same profile as in olive oil) proven to lower inflammation in our bodies. This is important, as inflammation plays a major role in the development of cardiovascular risk factors, obesity and diabetes.

Our Vayo oil is also rich in Vitamin E, a potent antioxidant.

2.VAYO is certified Swiss Organic: 

Made with the best organic ingredients that taste better and typically have higher vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient contents and contain no harmful pesticides.

Vayo is 100% natural and free from preservatives and artificial ingredients


3.VAYO is egg-free and instead uses linseed flour

a natural emulsifier that is rescued from the linseed oil pressing process. Linseed flour is rich in protein, fiber, calcium and iron.
